Unique Learning Opportunities
Honors students enjoy small, discussion-based seminar courses that fulfill general education requirements, as well as honors sections of department courses such as calculus, psychology, public health, economics, and communication that meet major requirements.. You can even turn a regular course into an honors course with instructor approval.
For those interested in undergraduate research, the First-Year Research Experience (FYRE) program connects students with hands-on projects in STEM fields and is open to ALL first-year students including both traditional freshmen and transfer students.

- Specialized Advising: Honors College advising works collaboratively with your academic advisor in your college to ensure you reach your academic goals.
- Honors Scholarships: From additional merit scholarship money, to funds for students participating in study abroad, national conferences and more, the Honors College aims to support its students experiences.
- 24/7 Lounge & Free Printing: The Honors College suite in Shocker Hall is open to Honors students and provides free coffee, free printing and plenty of study space!
- First-year students also have the option to live in the Honors Living Learning Community in order to build a community with others in the Honors College.

Leadership and Applied Learning
Beyond academics, Honors students can participate in service-learning projects and travel experiences such as BILL鈥橲 Trip and the Lead for Tomorrow Leadership Academy. For those interested in study abroad, National Student Exchange (NSE) or service-learning, the Cohen Enhancement Scholarships are offered for up to $4,000.
